DESCRIPTION:The causal agent of this gall is a waxy light green aphid which brings about a thickening of the leaf blades which roll up at the edges to enclose the aphids. Leaves and stalks will curl up and become stunted and generally paler than the rest of the plant. The galls turn brown when mature. After mating in the autumn the aphids will lay their overwintering eggs on the stem of the plant. DISTRIBUTION: Widespread and can be found throughout the year. HABITAT: Found on the leaves of Oraches.
